Hello, my name is Chris, and I am the author of the book Grateful Truce. May I give you a brief bio?
C Christopher Mosser is a former AA devotee, rehab survivor, and self-proclaimed “discerning guide” to moderation and recovery. After more than seven years of white-knuckled sobriety, he discovered a third path—one that embraces both his unwavering faith and the complexities of being human. Today, he shares his journey with honesty and humility, offering insights forged through personal struggle and hard-won wisdom.
A Nevada resident, Chris lives in Sparks with his wife, Maria, their three beloved pets, and a growing collection of framed cross-stitch artwork—a testament to his appreciation for patience and craftsmanship. His home is also surrounded by thriving gardens, reflecting his dedication to nurturing growth, both in the soil and in the soul.
Before dedicating himself to writing, Chris built a diverse 41-year career across retail, food service, and real estate, serving as a manager, bartender, and licensed broker. His professional background is anchored by a BSBA in Accounting from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania (1991) and a former real estate brokerage license in California—credentials that underscore his analytical mind and disciplined approach to life’s challenges.
An advocate for lifelong learning and physical resilience, Chris maintains an active lifestyle that includes training as a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo. These disciplines mirror his philosophy: balance, adaptability, and the courage to face struggles head-on. Through his book, blog, and podcast, he invites others to explore recovery not as a rigid doctrine, but as a deeply personal journey toward grace and self-discovery.
